Full Moon in Full Virgo Fashion

Deer Sweet Ones,
Today is the Full Moon in Virgo, which is feeling mild compared to the New Moon in Aquarius. Or maybe I've become accustom to the upheaval & am finally finding some kind of stride. When I sat down & pulled the cards for the week, I was surprised to find that all three cards were the third card from different suits, but when I remembered that this is the Virgo Full Moon, I was like, "Of course Virgo would!"

This spread feels very measured: 3 scoops of Earth, 3 scoops of Water, & 3 scoops of Air. But what does it mean? What are we making here? Stability, loves. Stability. Four is a number of stability, & three is on its way there. & three sets of three refers to a kind of cycle leading up to completion. Wherever you find yourself now, I can bet you've been here before, & that it connects to a larger plan the Femmeiverse has for your healing. I've been trying to learn about surrender lately, trying to figure out how this shit works, but I've found that there is no learning through observation for me. I have to do it. & it's hard.

If you're in a similar boat, I imagine that this Full Moon in Virgo is here to provide some kind of recipe for Letting Go & Surrender, & here it is. This week's reading is not a Past, Present, Future kinda reading. It's more of a These Are the Themes of the Week kind of reading.

Over the weekend I got to spend some time outside, & I am happy to remember that Spring is coming. It may get cold & snow a bit more, but inevitably we will all get out time in the sun & bathe in warmth that we didn't have to generate ourselves. I mean this in all the best possible ways.

3 Scoops of Virgo in Full Moon

3 of Bones

Three of Bones is all about burying what needs to be buried. The three bones on the card are themselves representative of Past, Present, Future. The bone in the ground is the Bone of the Past, the bone in the dog’s mouth is the Bone of the Present, & the bone in the thought bubble above is the Bone of the Future.

It is important that you let go of the past, to bury what needs to be buried, even if it appears as though you are left with the smallest bone, the Bone of the Present, which can be misunderstood as being left with the least amount of resources & stuff. It is in your best interest to sink your teeth into the Present because the future that you vision is based on the bone in your mouth. If you keep the Bone of the Past merely because it is largest, when you sink your teeth into it, you will keep visioning a future based on the Past.

3 of Bottles

It is no coincidence that we are now moving into Pisces season & the Bottles show up, which is all about the watery things like emotion, magic, intuition, & love. 3 of Bottles is about building emotional stability in a slow & very sweet way. This card is about chosen & beloved family, the ones who you hang out with in your pajamas, without your makeup, sans everything-is-awesome brave face.

If you are needing support around burying what needs to buried, my guess is that these are the people you can reach out to show up for this mini burial, that you can talk to about what feels come up when you’re afraid you’ve just put The Best _____ I've Ever Had into the ground, the ones who can help you throw dirt on top. 3 of Bottles is also challenging you to reveal more of your emotional landscape, to consider that that is something to be celebrated, too.

3 of Feathers

This card is all about communication from the heart. The Feathers suit in general is about communication, & this card asks for direct communication from the heart. The image on the card shows a feather quill being dipped into the inkwell heart, & putting that quill pen to paper. Four is often a number that signifies stability, & three is about almost being there. If you were constructing a table, & so far you had three legs, the way you would build the fourth leg would be this process.

As unstable as you fear this process would render you, it will actually have the opposite effect. It is your fear based in the past that informs influences you, not that strong heart you hold in the present. You are different. You have changed. You just need to remember that Bone of the Present is key, that it is real, & that you can trust that heart of yours.

Big Hopes & Big Dreams: Week of Feb.14-20

Hi Sweet Ones,
I missed the New Moon last week (btw wtf was with last week?), so I'm here this week. I also kinda like this is a sort of valentine, love letter. I've been busy surviving this past month, trying to get my kiddo into a school that best met their "education needs" & paying rent & keeping everyone healthy, fed, & to bed at a reasonable hour, & what a task that is! I'm currently recovering from a cold, & the blizzard sweeping the east coast has made my downstairs uninhabitable, so I've been swaddled up in my room all weekend, thinking, planning, eating, sleeping, dreaming, & reading.

I really love that this is the reading that I have to offer as we ease into this New Moon in Aquarius with Pisces season right around the corner & the Mercury Retrograde shadow finally lifting. This last bit of shadow really kept things in high gear & I hope for more peaceful & predictable waters ahead.

*big exhale*

Past: The Code

The Code is showing just as we shake off the last of Mercury Retrograde’s shadow, & for good reason. All the work that you’ve done since mid December is still solidifying, so make sure you are gentle with the hardening of these new bones. The Code is all about renegotiating the terms of your life, your boundaries, your expectations, foundational personhood shit. All that Tower tumbling was to usher you into a new layer of living your life, so don’t be shy—the Femmeiverse already heard you crying, already made note of what you want, already knows you name, love. Keep moving in the direction of that bright sun-rising-on-the-horizon red.

Present: Apprentice of Bottles

Apprentice of Bottles ask a lot of us. It really does. While everyone doesn’t have the same threshold for vulnerabilities & trust, we all have them. This card is asking you to push, jump, fall, or slide beyond them. As we can see on the image of this card, the person jumping isn’t leaning back or twisting around to see where they are going to land. Their head is tilted inward to their chest as if they are focusing on their breath in preparation for this unknowable fall.

The Bottles suit is all about emotions, magic, & spiritual matters, & Apprentice of Bottles is asking you to gain familiarity with these things through practice. & what better way than trusting the momentum of the Tower falling, the Code reforming some foundational elements, & now the Apprentice of Bottles asking you to trust in this new course big hopes & big dreams. That’s why we take that leap, slide, fall, no? What other promise could get you off that platform ass first in your cutest outfit? Big Hopes. Big Dreams.

Future: Mentor of Bottles

That sweet Captain at the helm of this boat of hands is you, love. Those hands are yours, too, & I bet it is your heart that fills he billowing sails. When I was talking about Big Hopes & Big Dreams, this was it. Mentor of Bottles is all about the trial & error necessary for success. Perhaps when you first came about this magical boat of your hands someone else was claiming the title of Captain, made you clean the decks, offered you scraps, then blamed you for faulty navigation systems. & even after you threw that false captain overboard & it was your palms sweating & struggling to steer, there were hurricanes of doubt & whirlpools of loneliness that you had to get through & out of.

The point of this card is to affirm the lessons you have learned as Captain of this boat of hands affectionately named My Life, that you are the right Captain for this boat, that your knowledge of this & that are more than adequate, & that cutting through these waters of life is your destiny. Trust that the language you’ve created with the stars is reliable, that the constellations you’ve named after personal triumphs & tragedies will keep you on course, & though the paint may peel from the sides of your boat of hands, the Femmeiverse knows this vessel is under your charge because you’ve claimed this life as yours. You are here--you've survived every capsize, every wave, every sea creature, every whirlpool, every starless night, every squall of fear. You did it, & your reward is the fortitude to keep sailing toward the promises that kept you warm when nothing else did.

As some of you may know, Panda & I moved to Philly almost 4 months ago, & one of the challenges was finding the best fit for Panda's educational needs. Just last week, Panda was offered a spot in a school that we feel is the best fit for an almost 11-year-old Panda Femme! We are excited & grateful to be planting some roots & finding our rhythms, & I'm here asking for support in paying for the fees & February tuition so that Panda can officially start on Monday February 8th. There is an exciting school event taking place next week that Panda wants to attend, but first we need to cross the t's & dot the i's!

To raise funds this weekend I am offering mini tarot readings for a very reasonable donation. These mini tarot readings are sure to provide insight & guidance where your spirit is calling for it! Sliding scale starts at $5, & all proceeds go to help pay for Panda's tuition.
