Big Hopes & Big Dreams: Week of Feb.14-20

Hi Sweet Ones,
I missed the New Moon last week (btw wtf was with last week?), so I'm here this week.  I also kinda like this is a sort of valentine, love letter.  I've been busy surviving this past month, trying to get my kiddo into a school that best met their "education needs" & paying rent & keeping everyone healthy, fed, & to bed at a reasonable hour, & what a task that is!  I'm currently recovering from a cold, & the blizzard sweeping the east coast has made my downstairs uninhabitable, so I've been swaddled up in my room all weekend, thinking, planning, eating, sleeping, dreaming, & reading.

I really love that this is the reading that I have to offer as we ease into this New Moon in Aquarius with Pisces season right around the corner & the Mercury Retrograde shadow finally lifting.  This last bit of shadow really kept things in high gear & I hope for more peaceful & predictable waters ahead.

Past: The Code

The Code is showing just as we shake off the last of Mercury Retrograde’s shadow, & for good reason.  All the work that you’ve done since mid December is still solidifying, so make sure you are gentle with the hardening of these new bones.  The Code is all about renegotiating the terms of your life, your boundaries, your expectations, foundational personhood shit.  All that Tower tumbling was to usher you into a new layer of living your life, so don’t be shy—the Femmeiverse already heard you crying, already made note of what you want, already knows you name, love.  Keep moving in the direction of that bright sun-rising-on-the-horizon red. 

Present: Apprentice of Bottles

Apprentice of Bottles ask a lot of us.  It really does.  While everyone doesn’t have the same threshold for vulnerabilities & trust, we all have them.  This card is asking you to push, jump, fall, or slide beyond them.  As we can see on the image of this card, the person jumping isn’t leaning back or twisting around to see where they are going to land.  Their head is tilted inward to their chest as if they are focusing on their breath in preparation for this unknowable fall. 
 
The Bottles suit is all about emotions, magic, & spiritual matters, & Apprentice of Bottles is asking you to gain familiarity with these things through practice.  & what better way than trusting the momentum of the Tower falling, the Code reforming some foundational elements, & now the Apprentice of Bottles asking you to trust in this new course big hopes & big dreams.  That’s why we take that leap, slide, fall, no?  What other promise could get you off that platform ass first in your cutest outfit?  Big Hopes.  Big Dreams.

​ That sweet Captain at the helm of this boat of hands is you, love.  Those hands are yours, too, & I bet it is your heart that fills he billowing sails.  When I was talking about Big Hopes & Big Dreams, this was it.  Mentor of Bottles is all about the trial & error necessary for success.  Perhaps when you first came about this magical boat of your hands someone else was claiming the title of Captain, made you clean the decks, offered you scraps, then blamed you for faulty navigation systems.  & even after you threw that false captain overboard & it was your palms sweating & struggling to steer, there were hurricanes of doubt & whirlpools of loneliness that you had to get through & out of. 
 
The point of this card is to affirm the lessons you have learned as Captain of this boat of hands affectionately named My Life, that you are the right Captain for this boat, that your knowledge of this & that are more than adequate, & that cutting through these waters of life is your destiny.  Trust that the language you’ve created with the stars is reliable, that the constellations you’ve named after personal triumphs & tragedies will keep you on course, & though the paint may peel from the sides of your boat of hands, the Femmeiverse knows this vessel is under your charge because you’ve claimed this life as yours.  You are here--you've survived every capsize, every wave, every sea creature, every whirlpool, every starless night, every squall of fear.  You did it, & your reward is the fortitude to keep sailing toward the promises that kept you warm when nothing else did.
