Deer Sweet Ones, Now that things are flowing & the pace has been set, it is time to unclench your hands & jaws & take a deep breath. The recent slew of knock you on your ass bumps on your path were not merely testing your ability to survive, the Femmeiverse brought you to this specific location of your life as an answer to some kind of prayer or ask you made on your own behalf. When? I can't tell you. But what I do know is that this orchestration came from one of the purest versions of your Ancestral selves, the Healer, also known as the Magician. I allowed myself to stay open for the rest of the day, because I’ll try most anything at least once for curiousity’s sake. & before the sun set, my sign came. There was a tree in the back yard of my parent’s house, & I had observed my dad holding a bag of bird seed headed for the back yard more than once, & inquired about it one day. “What’s that for?” “It’s for the birds!” “Oh, yeah, ok.” His response beguiled me because nobody, neither myself nor my three sisters, had ever seen a bird perch on the branches of this tree. We thought it was cute, but maybe his bird seed devotion had more to do with the fact my dad has to always be doing something. I filed it away as something maybe we had in common—a connections to birds. After my walk asking for signs, I went back to my parent’s house, & when I looked out the windows to the back yard I saw that lone tree completely covered with birds! Not one or two or a handful, but a whole treeful! Unable to contain my surprise I yelled out, “Look! Dad was right! There are birds!” My sisters & I all flocked to the windows, laughter spilling everywhere, & then I knew. I began to cry happy tears as I realized that this really was my sign—joyful, undeniable, & makes me believe in something. Spirit Bug, the baby/Ancestor that left was still with me, teaching me important lessons, including making me believe again in me. Makes me believe again in me. The Magician is working in your life, always has, & now it is time to hold your own magical hand & witness what grows & unfolds. You can trust this process, no matter what happens. The day I realized Lettie the Builder was going to lose I broke down & cried. “I love her,” I sobbed to my sister in her car. “Of course you do,” my sister replied.

The day the dam burst, I felt a kind of relief. Lettie the Builder could finally rest, surrender to the waters that overcame our best efforts & intentions. We could finally let it flow. The disappointment of failing to house such a force of nature. The fear of losing someone I had come to love deeper than that damn dam. The gratitude for such a wild ride. The tears.

| My question to the Femmeiverse when Two of Bottles popped up was, “What do I need to know about the time between Winter Solstice & Summer Solstice?” up popped Two of Bottles. Woa. Two of Bottles is the card that foretells romance, that giddy feeling where you have the potential to fall in love with everything & everyone. When I think of this card I am reminded of one winter I was so in love & having multiple poems a day, that whenever I left her house I swam in sensuality & felt like flirting with anyone I interacted with—like the barista where I ordered my morning after coffee. I always felt leaving like I could potentially be that spark that started a fast acting fire of cleansing, or passion, or death eating, in any unsuspecting person’s day. Like, maybe they were standing next to me waiting to place their coffee order, then all of a sudden were overcome with the feeling of confessing their love, or drawing that boundary, or devoting themselves to that creative project they told themselves later about. I often recall that winter with mixed feelings, but the magic I uncovered those cold winter mornings, afternoons, & long nights still make me shiver & spark. The magic I uncovered has always been & will always be mine, & can be conjured without a lover. I am all I need, & you are too. This is the tidings Two of Bottles brings. Drink up. |  |

This was the first pic I took of Temperance. I feel like it's soft focus glow is to convey the angelic quality lol.
I’ve been sick this week, & way behind on all the things. I have a variety of chronic illnesses, & as a disabled fat brown femme, sometimes my internalized ableism still gets to me. I’ve done a lot of surviving by “pushing through it.” It can be anything from severe ptsd to not being able to breathe because of asthma to ignoring a flare of sciatica in my body as I walk the first half mile to the trolley stop, knowing there’s another half mile waiting for me once I get off. I knew the New Moon was this week, & I had all these plans (even wrote it in my planner!) so I wouldn’t be last minute writing, but I was just too sick to do it all. I really just want to share this part of my experience, the disabled & crazy parts of me, to gift myself space to take up so I can counteract how my survival so often dictates, “Smaller, Lettie, make yourself smaller.” Deep breath.
I drew this spread three days ago, & it has dutifully waited for me to finish our initial conversation. & while I was prepping to pull the first card, it totally jumped out at me! I was like, Oh, ok, it’s gonna be you! Temperance. That is the theme for this week, as well as for this moon cycle. Temperance is not a card I’ve spent a lot of time with, so it was kinda nice to sit with it & do some research. I actually found out that the correlating zodiac sign for Temperance is Sagittarius, too. Maybe that’s why Temperance was so excited!
The Temperance card depicts a non-binary angel who is practicing the every day alchemy of baking, while balancing so delicately with one foot in water & the other in the air. When this card comes up in a reading, it brings tidings of making sure you center yourself so you can complete long term or bigger goals, that’s why they are “testing the waters” with their toes. The waters that need to be tested can be related to emotion & spiritual matters. For example, are you ready & able to be responsible for your feelings? All of them? Do you all need a rest before continuing on? Are you asking your Ancestors or the Femmeiverse or your Guides for help? Are you sure you aren’t carrying emotional & energetic shit that is not yours? This Sagittarian angel babe is here to make sure your ducks are in a row!
This card also wants you to focus on your every day alchemy. What alchemy? you ask? This angel is demonstrating one of many magics you may or may not practice, the magic of baking; the taking of raw materials & combining them in such a way that the results yield often soft, warm, & yummy results that you can keep for yourself or share with others. Cooking is another magic. Sweeping your house, pouring salt in doorways, brewing teas & tinctures, & talking to your future ancestral self are other every day magics.
Another fun thing I like to do is share magics with friends. I once put together little jars of sea salt, rain water, dried lavender roses from my altar, & ash, & gifted them to femme loved ones. A few weeks ago, a femme friend of mine & I cooked together, all the while laughing & sharing stories, which was a much needed healing magic that reminded me that I can continue to femmeifest an abundance of sweet & sustainable things in my life. I AM BLESSED WITH UNENDING ABUNDANCE
Scarcity is something that I am working to heal all the time. I came across these cards at the end of my session with the Money Witch. I received a text with the image of one of the Money Magic Manifestation cards, & I liked it a lot.
A few weeks ago, I was able to get my own baby deck of Money Magic Manifestation cards (they fit in the palm of my hand), & within the last week I’ve started working with them. It has been really hard because every time I draw a card, I immediately start pushing back. This is my scarcity talking, yelling, whatever. But when I pulled I am blessed with unending abundance, & decided to journal about it, it some how felt accessible.
A few weeks ago, I was able to get my own baby deck of Money Magic Manifestation cards (they fit in the palm of my hand), & within the last week I’ve started working with them. It has been really hard because every time I draw a card, I immediately start pushing back. This is my scarcity talking, yelling, whatever. But when I pulled I am blessed with unending abundance, & decided to journal about it, it some how felt accessible.

I shifted the way I thought about it from bank account amount to ideas & inspiration, & that is when I was able to connect to that feeling of unending abundance. If I have and unending anything, it is words & ideas. Some things I came up were weekly writing offerings, like this one, Femmeifesting Heart Things, & Femmes to the Front Fridays.
I am also rich with poems about everything from zombies & vampires as metaphors for unworked, untouched intergenerational trauma to the freshest, sweetest femme love poems about the desert my heart belongs to. I have a plethora of femmeily who love me by feeding me from their own abundance, bringing groceries by, offering to be my Emergency Contact, who have walked me to my front door when my day has spiked with violence, & femmes who share their magical femmeifesting ways. & last, but certainly not least, I have the love & trust of a Panda Femme kiddo who shows me what is possible every time they forgive without duress, who calls my name to make sure I am close by because they know that I am here for them, & who knows my heart in ways that baffle me & keep me soft.
This makes me think about what it means to "[a]sk for [a life I] couldn't fathom living without," to give myself my everything, energy, effort, praise, & favor in hopes that I, too, get to receive unimaginably good things. So, this is me doing the things, connecting & believing with what is unendingly abundant in my life right now. This is my beginning.

I mean, especially before a big project, spend ample time grounding, sending your energy down first to connect with a source bigger than you & me so that that channel can support you.
- Six of Bones: This is the "Sweet Success"card. If you ever needed a sign that this endeavor was gonna pull through how you need it to, this is it. The fox on this card is relaxing outside their den, their home, having jumped through all the hoops, completed all the tricks, & whatever else felt unnecessary & totally necessary, & they got what they wanted. & so will you.
- The Moon: The Moon is on your side. The power of the Moon is not as pronounced as the Sun, but that's because patriarchal reasoning has told us so. The power of the Moon is subtle but all encompassing & is planning to turn the tide in your favor. Your only task is to trust that when an opportunity presents itself to you, it is in fact yours.
